Hey everybody. I stumbled upon this forum from a link in a YouTube video and figured I'd register.
As of a few hours ago, I brought home my first Kurzweil, a PC361. I've been a keyboardist and synth fanatic for years, and have a small home studio where I'm currently working on material for my second album. I have a lot of experience in various synthesis methods and sound design, but I've never gotten my hands on a Kurzweil before - I have a number of classic Yamaha FM synths, a Juno, a Casio CZ-101, and numerous in-the-box engines I'm familiar with.
Last night I ran into a very gently used PC361 in my local classifieds, and after listening to some sound demos, I was blown away by the capabilities of the keyboard. The price was good, so I took it home and spent the past hour playing with presets and reading the manual.
Hoping to learn a lot about the various nuances of VAST and Kurzweil. Really looking forward to seeing what this can add to the music I'm writing.
