While the PC3 can damn near replicate most instuments, I'm wondering if anyone has come close to creating something that could "replace" the pedal steel part in a song. I don't think you could get many of the intricacies and control variations necessary - but am hoping for something that can be used (as a non-lead part / background) that still gives the feel of what the pedal steel can add to a mix. Any suggestions or successes?

I uploaded version 4 just now.
Better overall brightness
added a little chorus that you can tweak with the sliders, or kill if you want.
the INFO page in the program tells you what slider does what.
Last but not least I added a few seconds of demo song for auditioning.
any suggestions for improvement are always welcome!
