After seeing Steve Wilson perform this week, I was inspired to "tweak" some melotron sounds. Steve arguably had the best melotron type sounds I've ever heard, especially in a live performance. I came up with strings, octave strings, choir, octave choir, and flutes. All in stereo. I by-passed filtering and opted to use "treble" to round out the tone of the programs. Feel free to edit them, I "Q'd" them for live performance, so they may be a bit bright through studio monitors.
Are there samples in these programs..or can they be used on a PC3?
These are the ROM samples. There are 5 programs in the download. You should have no problems loading them into your PC3. If the size of the download is in the "k" range it probably won't have samples. Those downloads will probably be in the "mb" range.
Hi,
Thanks TZ!
I saw Steve Wilson a couple of years ago in Boston with Blackfield, very good concert. The opening act was Anathema in acoustic, also excellent. It's kind of amazing the amount of things that Steve Wilson does, the guy is restless!
Regards,
Fran
steve wilson is one of my favourites, and what he s doing is very very inspiring for me doing my own music. i saw him twice with porcupine tree. first time was many years ago, before they were big, in a small club, one meter face to face.
this year i saw him in a big hall, presenting his new solo album, and this guy really brings the spirit of good old-school prog rock into the present... and with your mellotrons, you do that also
thanks for those mellotrons!
Nice work...I'll be sure to check these out...thanks!
HUGE Steven Wilson fan....I've been Deadwing42 around the web for years!
Now if only PT would regroup for a tour..haha. But then I guess we should be happy with whatever Mr. Wilson decides to do. Not many folks out there making that genre of music....
Very nice.
Thank you.
Thank you very much sir!
A welcome addition to my board.
Should find its way to a King Crimson cover.
When I know VAST better, I'll share too.
