Forgive me for being a little blonde but if the Artis is based on the same PC3 family files? Would it not be possible to load the Artis piano sample file on to the SP4-8?

No. The SP4 is limited to load synthesizer-settings (means "programs" without any waveform-material). The samples can´t be exchanged or added, they are ROM.
Attention: As far as I understood the structure of the machine. To my knowledge it´s a Rompler. Means waveforms (samples) in ROM that are thrown into the synthesizer-part + FX-part, and this makes the final sound. So you just can change the synthesizer or FX-section, wich are programmable to a certain degree. This is what you do, when you load PC3-sounds into the SP. The SP and the PC3 (non K) series are the closest relatives in this family, with the PC3 as the strongest, the PC3Le as the middle and the SP as the smallest version of the same kind of sound architecture.
The Artis has brought something new to the system. It has more waveforms even as the PC3. But less stages of sounds that can run parallel, afaik. So it is stronger, but also weaker in some aspects as the PC3.
The PC3k is the only instrument that can load new waveforms. It could - theoretically - load some of the Arits samples. But until now noone has made them available in the format that is necessary to do that. It´s some work to do... Maybe Kurzweil could... but that is another discussion.

But an interesting one, I´d like to buy a K version soon, this could REALLY encourage my enthusiasm...

These files are incredibly useful with the Artis, which has 256 user programs in which to load some of these 1,061 PC3LE programs. Thanks so much!

I don't know why Kurzweil wouldn't make these available from their web site.

Can someone upload the Kore 64 programs?

Thanks! Looking at the new SP6. Will this work with the SP6? I am hoping so.

I've just spent this afternoon loading some of these programs into my SP6. So far, every one loads and sounds perfect. This is such a great asset for the SP6. :D
