Is it possible to change the pad that is used on the SW1 button ?
Also is it possible to add additional sounds to SW2 & 3 buttons ?

I am building a pad that contains 2 piano pads (one octave apart) , I want to assign a string pad that is activated by SW1 button and a flute pad that is activated by SW2 (creating a sound that is used by Arcade Fire - Everything Now)

I cant seem to find the option to assign patches to SW buttons - is it possible ?

Assigning SW switches to mute layers (not sure what cc# it would be) would allow you to turn layers on and off and thus allow certain instruments to come on while simultaneously turning off other instruments. Certainly possible.

Cant seem to find the option to switch off individual layers, seems to be all off or all on. If anyone knows different - please let me know.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for, but I'm happy to put something here anyway!

Can't seem to find the option to switch off individual layers, seems to be all off or all on.

So, you're making your own program, and want to switch individual layers on and off?

Inside the Program Editor, on the Layer Edit page, just change the "Enable:" parameter to be SW1 or SW2. (highlight the parameter, hold the Enter button, then click the switch you want).

When the switch is on, when new notes are played, that layer will be "in" the program and will sound.

You can also tell it to reverse the sense of the controller - so one button could control some layers normally, and other layers reversed.

Or, using the Max: and Min: parameters, use a knob to select different layers in different combinations, depending on the range you specify for each layer.

HTH!

I think you are using a piano program that has a pad (strings) layer.
If you want to add more sounds, it is easier to make a setup instead of importing other layer(s) to that piano program. On my LE I am using drum pads to un/mute zones and the knobs to controll the volume of individual zones.
