Hi guys,
As you are no doubt aware, registrations and subscriptions have been suspended at the Mastering Vast forum for a number of weeks. The reason for this is because these forums are moving to a new home at http://forums.godlike.com.au and we've been spending quite a bit of time behind the scenes getting everything ready for the move.
Brian Cowell started the forum in 2007 to provide support to Kurzweil users, and it has grown the vibrant community that it is today thanks to his generous contributions, and the support of the moderators, the subscribers and members. While things have been changing over the years in cyberspace, the same is also true of our lives in the real world, and Brian's professional life has changed such that he is no longer in a position to be able to support these forums as he has been able to in the past.
I have agreed to take over hosting and administration of the forums going forward as Brian winds back his involvement. Cunka ( http://cunka.com ) will still be active for Brian's other pursuits, in much the same way as Godlike Productions ( http://godlike.com.au ) is for me. Brian is in the process of reviewing what products he will continue to support going forward, though much of wisdom over the years will remain in the form of his posts to this forum.
What this means for members and subscribers is that the forum will have a new home, and we'll see a bit less of Brian around, but as much as we can, we'll try to keep things operating as they are. Brian is, and always will be welcome here, when time allows it, and we thank him for his amazing contributions, and wish him all the best moving forward.
Starting on 22/11/2015 the forums will be placed into maintenance mode (essentially read only mode) so that we can migrate the database and files to the new host. A redirect will be set up at Cunka so that everyone can find the new forum. Once we are happy that everything has moved across and that everything is intact we will take the forum out of maintenance mode. Shortly after that we will reopen registrations, and will look at subscription options going forward, but we'll post more on that later. There will be some broken links and stuff that doesn't work as it should, but we'll working on fixing those up as they come to light.
Joining me at the administration helm is Dlocutor, who has been quietly working very hard behind the scenes for the last few years keeping things backed up and running smoothly. His assistance with keeping spammers and hackers at bay and keeping things running smoothly and efficiently at the internet nuts and bolts end has been greatly appreciated, and without his help I'm not sure if I would have been in a position to take over hosting.
The moderation team will remain the same for the immediate future, and we may look at expanding the team in time, once things have settled down, and I'd like to thank KaffiMusic and MoodyBlueKeys for their ongoing support and contributions to the forum, and for putting up with all our nonsense in the Moderators Lounge. You guys rock!
If you have problems accessing the forum after the move, please get in touch through our web form at http://godlike.com.au/index.php?id=19 and we'll try to get you sorted out.

Jason, the best of luck in this new phase for both of you. Your website has always been a great source of knowledge and help to all Kurzweil users. We'll see you in the new Link!

Fran
