Yes, objects are compatible but some sounds might not sound correctly. SP6 has a reduced set of samples compared with Forte, and the Forte does not have the reduced versions of some of those instruments. So, not everything will sound correctly. But the programs that use common samples, like the PC3 Base or Kore64 and some others will be totally compatible.

If for whatever reason does not let you read the .SP6 file just rename it to .FOR.
