Just in case anyone here doesn't visit the cunka forums, I'll post the news here as well.
A company called Kelfar Technologies is now producing Yamaha BC3A Plug Compatible breath controllers for sale worldwide.
Price is steep at $199 USD but not out of line with what used controllers are going for on Ebay.
The manual clearly states it's plug compatible with any synth that has a BC3A breath controller input.

Like I said, price is steep at $199 constituting about a 1200% markup on parts, but when you're the only game in town you can set your own price to what the market will bear.
If you are struggling with getting the proper intonations on your woodwinds then this pretty much is the only game in town.
