Hi,
Let's make sure we are talking about the same things first...
Patch = Program?
Multisample = Setup?
And, are you talking about using the Sound Tower editor or just the SP4?
Regards,
Fran
Aha! I have the list of programs in the owners manual, but I want to know, if possible, what´s the basis for make a program. The minimum particle, the first stone. The samples contained in the SP4 memory, and how many Mb are his rom.
I know that without the sound tower editor can't access to edit programs, but i´m very courious!!
Thank you and sorry about my english !!

Hi,
In Kurzweil architecture:
Setups are made of programs that are made of keymaps that are made of samples.
With exceptions, like KB3 organs or if you trigger waveforms directly in the DSP of the programs (KVA).
In the SP4 you see Setups and Programs. If you had access to those programs, then you'd see the keymaps in the different layers of those programs. A program can have up to 32 layers and you could put a keymap (or 2 if stereo) per layer.
Keymaps are like a 2D space, in one axis you have the keys of the keyboard (key ranges) and in the other you have the velocity. In the Keymaps you can assign Samples to that 2D space, and do some small adjustments to the samples.
Hope that makes some sense....
Regards,
Fran
I´m getting the idea. I´m very new in this Kurzweil architecture, because the PC88 and Sp88 that I have a few years ago, don´t use it.
Thank you for your very fast answers! This forum is alive !!
There´s a thing to know still, maybe you don´t have the right answer, but, these sp4 samples you can assign to that 2D space, zones and keys, can I have a list or pdf anywere? And can they be measured in MB?
Thank you again.
