The headline was the titel of one of the songs with the first band when I was at shool.
My name is Thorsten, I live in Germany near Heidelberg/Mannheim, playing synth since I was 16. Guess that was in the early 80íes (uhm... suddenly feel so old). I learned to play accordion first, but then I decided to switch to something cooler and tought myself to play that new thing - has been a Korg Poly 800 back then, bought it when it came new to the market. I hate that machine and still can hear it...
I am with 2 funk/soul/party bands, members are a mix of professionals and good hobby musicians. I am one of the hobby-guys. I have a youtube-channel with some stuff I did, just check out "Kaffimusic".
Apart from music I LOVE old 50cc mopeds. I earn my money as a social-worker.
Hi,
I liked Heidelberg a lot when I visited it years ago... really nice area.
The world has lost another accordion player! You could have been doing things like this:

Seriously, there's very cool accordion stuff out there

Yeayea... Thats what my parents had in mind when they saw me playing as a kid. They weren´t quite amused about my change of mind when I was 16. This was my end of being their most beloved son.
But, the chicks in the vid are hot and I would like to show them how to play with my long - err, my Kurzweil.
I know this show and it has some kind of zombi-ism to me. I guess that´s what most parts of the world have in mind when they hear "Germany". And maybe Rammstein and Nazis. Bizarre.

And YES, the area around Heidelberg is very nice. There is the "Bergstrasse" ("Old Mountain Street") along the "Odenwald", between the Rhein-Valley and a low mountain-chain at its eastern side. When spring comes, it´s one of the places where trees and flowers start to bloom at first, where wine is grown and the sun warms the hills. And it has the BEST moped-routes
Hi, my name is Carlos and I live in Brazil. Now I own a Kurzweil SP4-7 or SP 76II, how we call it. My interest is find and share new progressive sounds programmed with this marvelous keyboard. My favorite bands are Dream Theater, Symphony X, Pink Floyd, Casiopea.
Welcome Carlos!

Fran
Hello, I my Stefano and I live in Italy. I have a Kurzweil PC3K and I want to learn the v.a.s.t. and create new sound/Setup. I play in two rock bands. My favorite musics is Pink Floyd, Genesis, P.F.M., Zucchero.
Welcome Stefano!
A good bunch of Italian PC3 users out there.
Prog rock is very popular among Kurzweil users so please, share your programs and setups as well. Many people will thank you. Even if they are just simple splits/layers in setup mode, that will give someone the starting point.
Thanks!
Regards,
Fran

And what about Alphaville ? Loved to hear them in the 80s. Great songs like Forever Young and Big in Japan !!
Alphaville is ok. Somehow played to death in german radio. I wanted to post something that is contemporary and not so popular. At least song 1+3 is never ever heard in the radio. They always play the same BS. Again. And again. And again. Sorry, Alphaville is/was one of those.
My father has almost every lp/cd of James Last what about that ? he's very popular here in Holland.
Hi,
Talking about songs that have been played endlessly on the radio, for me, German music has always been this:

James Last is somehow... cool. Though not my style.
Scorpions.... well, uhm... Posers. With average guitar playing. Riding endlessly on the same clichees. But successful, though.
