Hi
anyone knows how to get to the GM Sounds in the new PC4.
In the PC3 it was above the Numbers 4000 ff

Thanks
Michael

I was tryin' to call those general midi programs up . I figured that calling up 4001 would do the trick but all I got was not found. Instead I had 4096 my only user program ( 4096 is the 1st slot for user programs - - at this time I don't think the pc4 has general midi inside.

Okay I went to Kurzweil home page went to products then to Pc4 page then to product comparison page & states no general midi - - to be fair about it the Forte also doesn't have general midi but (I think) any PC3 does!

I was going thru the keymaps & lo and behold the PC4 has all the keymaps for gen. midi from the PC3 series ( including the Gen. midi effects controls) ,so in theory all you need to do is take the General Midi programs from the PC3 series (just programs - no dependents) & load into the PC3. Who knows maybe it'll work.
